About the Event
We will begin our time together with a yin yoga practice. Yin yoga is often practiced close to the ground and with props to support the body for extended periods of time. Postures are held up to 20 minutes. It supports the process of balancing energy in the body and provides release to the fascial system allowing the body to open up. After a short break, we will experience a guided forest therapy walk. Forest therapy is a very slow practice, and not comparable to physical exercise. There is no right or wrong way to experience forest therapy. Each person has their own unique experience, and some have said these experiences are quite profound.
This time is meant for you to unite your mind and body together, to recharge and perhaps leave feeling calm and rejuvenated. For more information on forest therapy and it’s benefits, see our website here: https://www.gracefulroots.ca/about-1
Taking time for yourself is a great gift. We hope to see you soon.
*If you are unable to come down to the ground, the class can be adapted to a chair*
