Forest Therapy Guide and
500 hour Certified Yoga Instructor
Allison Easton

Allison began Graceful Roots after a culmination of lived experiences and  educational pursuits; in her words, it has allowed her to flourish gracefully.

After a lengthy recovery from a major surgery, Allison used yoga, meditation and nature to heal both physically and mentally.  During her recovery she felt called to follow her heart and travel to Costa Rica.  While she was there she completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher training with the Marianne Wells Yoga School.  Immersed in the jungle she was pulled even deeper into her connection with trees and nature.

Allison is a volunteer hike leader and an Urban Poling Instructor with the Rainbow Routes Association and has had the opportunity to lead countless hikes and walks on trails in her hometown in Northern Ontario.

With great fascination she has studied her local plants and recently obtained a 375 hour certificate in ethical foraging and edible and medicinal wild herbs from the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine.

Allison joined the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs (ANFT) intensive training in British Columbia. Followed by a 6 month mentored practicum, Allison obtained certification as a Forest Therapy Guide.  As part of this process she also obtained her Wilderness and Remote first aid training.

Most recently,  Allison completed her 300 hour yoga teacher training through My Vinyasa Practice in Austin Texas.  She focused on Yin yoga, Yoga nidra and trauma informed and adaptive yoga.

Allison is currently offering guided forest therapy walks and forest yoga in the City of Greater Sudbury, Ontario Canada.

May your roots take hold and allow you to grow gracefully through the seasons of your life.
